Event Details
Downtown Bridgeville turns into one big harvest party each October as the Apple-Scrapple Festival celebrates Sussex County’s apple orchards and its favorite breakfast meat. Friday evening opens the bandstand, carnival, and food court at 4 PM, followed by the Opening Ceremony, the Little Miss Apple Scrapple Pageant, the Kids Apple Toss, and a Friday Night Street Dance.
Saturday is the full festival day starting at 9 AM, with hundreds of crafters and vendors, the Schoolhouse Craft Show at Woodbridge Middle School, the Senior Center Vendor Show and Trade Show, a car show on Railroad Avenue, a Health & Safety Fair at the firehouse, and a Kids Zone. Crowd favorites include the Ladies Skillet Toss and the Invitational Scrapple Sling, plus live music on the bandstand all day and a DJ into the evening. The Bridgeville Historical Society Museum and Library Lane are open on Williams Street, and a Hometown Carnival Night kicks things off Thursday, October 8.
Bus service is available and the festival is handicap accessible. No pets or unauthorized motor vehicles are allowed.
